Map of Shaw Cross
A small area on the east side
Shaw Cross is easy to miss on a map and easy to get wrong on a quote form. It sits with Earlsheaton and Chickenley, on the Dewsbury side of the gap toward Ossett. The homes are family houses. House removals is the normal service. Moving part of the contents a short distance is a local move.
Kirklees is clear about one local fact: Shaw Cross Infant and Nursery is linked with Bywell CE Junior, and so is Earlsheaton Infant. If you are choosing between the two places for a school run, that shared junior is the detail to read on the admissions page. Hanging Heaton is the neighbour toward Batley. Thornhill is south.
Streets are quieter than the town centre, but they are not empty at 8.30am. Tell us if the house is on a slope or at the end of a narrow lane. Garden furniture and a garage should be on the list.
Furniture removals covers a heavy room. Storage covers a gap between dates. Packing covers the kitchen.
